Mercury tilt and trim?

Hi guys I have a mid to late 80's mercury 70hp that has locked up I thought the serial was B373346 but cannot find it on the cross reference. My tilt and trim pumps and plate etc.. are all good and I have found a few used mercury motors with out t&t what are the chances they will mount right on? Thanks for any info.

I had a problem with my 83 Suzuki. Tilt trim motor went South and come to find out, they were out of production too. I just happened to look at a Force motor about the same year and noticed the bolt pattern on the clamp was almost identical. I took the chance and ordered a brand new Force T&T unit from API Marine, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to my great surpise, it bolted right up, I had to have new hydraulic lines made because the length of the reservior was longer, but I am back in the water. <br /><br />API marine is a good place to check. They should be able to tell you what year(s) your pump was used on. <br /><br />Good luck!
