Mercury wiring ques.

I have a Mercury 500 w/Thunderbolt ign, that according to http://www.maxrules.com/models/Merc_model_files/40-50.html is a 1971 model year, based on s#3014722. I went to http://www.maxrules.com/MERCwireindex.html and downloaded http://www.maxrules.com/oldmercs/Wiring/1966ona/26A.jpg to get the appropriate wiring diagram, but it don't match mine. that drawing is showing 7 terminals and mine has six ad the wiring colloring dont match, but its a factory harness assb. how can i find the right diagram?

Not knowing what color your wires are make it difficult but here is the diagram that works for driver ign.
