I have a 1992 mercury XR6 150 carburated. I have to put a new power head on it. How hard would it be to switch to EFI

first, welcome aboard

next, compare the parts list, however you will need a whole lot more than just a power head.

cheapest/easiest/fastest way to convert what you have to what you want is done in 3 steps.

step 1 - sell what you have for a small pile of cash
step 2 - empty contents of wallet and bank account to make a bigger pile of cash
step 3 - take the pile of cash and buy what you want.

A complete EFI powerhead might just bolt on to the midsection, Converting a Carbed engine to EFI is a whole different Kettle of Fish. Would be far easier and likely cheaper just to find a used complete EFI engine and swap the entire outboard
