Please can someone tell me if i need to have my engine running and in water or water going through the engine ie muffs for my trim and tilt to work properly.At the moment blead the system but still not working proper but running it just connected to a battery as i need to connect the switch up on my control. No the motor does not need to be running or in the water for your tilt to work

You should be able to lift and lower engine running or not running and in or out of water. you need to keep bleeding and keep filling pump resivoir and keep working it. about 5-10 times up and down really should do the trick. most time 2-3 times did just fine for mine system. I was having troubles also.

Thanks for the help,just another question,when i am bleeding the unit which valve do i open to let the air out when i am raising the unit becauase the only way i can get it back up is to open the maual releif valve and this is just letting air back in. Richard.
