Hi
I recently cleaned my carburetor and put a renew kit .When i dismantled it i saw that previous owner almost made round the 1/2 brass connector of the metal fuel line . After i put it back i tried different tools trying to tighten that brass connector .
There was no gasket in there .

Should it be a gasket in there ?
can i change the fuel line with something over the counter like autobahn88 PTFE braided steel fuel line ?
should i use pipe dope or teflon tape ?
I couldnt find the original part number to search and order it .

Any suggestions ? The leak is tiny a drip every minute maybe but i dont want to take a chance .
Thanks

most likely the end of the inverted double flare has been damaged. just make a new fuel line. its pretty much steel brake line. or the adapter into the carb is damaged.

no pipe dope needed. the inverted flare is the seal
