MFG 14 foot minimum power required ?

I recently purchased a lovey 1976 MFG tri hull bow rider and now have to power it. I just want to visit around a small lake and would like suggestions as to:<br /> what is the minimium hp I need to plane this boat with two adults?

Just a guess, but I think 40 hp would be a bare minimum. I had a 70 hp on a 16' MFG & it was no speed demon. It could pull a skier OK.
