MFG Gypsy Deck Replacement Need Advice

I have a 1975 15ft mfg gypsy. I am a newbie and in the process of replacing the deck and stringers because of them being rotted out. I have been reading a lot about an all foam replacement indstead of putting in new stringers in. Did anyone have good or bad experiences with this? What do you use for floor supports then?

Welcome to iboats!!

Someone is giving you some bad info..... you NEED the stringers and using foam as support is not a good idea.

Spend some time reading the restoration section here.

Most people use exterior plywood for stringers.
