Okay, this is my new potential project. Anyone have any opinions on the quality of these hulls. Would love to spend some time working on this, but can't find too much information on quality. I checked fiberglassics.com, but it seems like everybody loves their brand on there, I was looking for some objective information. Thanks alot everyone. :p

Not sure about your specific hull, but MFG stayed in business quite a few years. Have you checked www.mfgboats.com? Looks like some great info and resources/contacts there. How much work does she need? Regardless, it will probably be much stronger when you are finished than it was from the factory. If you like the hull, go for it! Just remember the cardinal rules. It will tae twice as long and cost twice as much if you aren't careful and you will likely never get the money back on resale. Other than that, have fun. I have two 1976 Glastrons myself :D

Thanks Jason,

The hull is in very rough shape, I will post some pictures. I think my younger brother and I are going to take on this project, I told him I would finance it if he would help with the dirty work. The boat has a 65 hp mercury 650 (74 or 75) on the back that seems to be in great shape, it turns over with the new battery. I think we are going to try to set this up as a fishing machine, the previous owner put a casting deck with a pedstal seat in the bow and I kind of like the way it looks. Like I said, I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

I'd doing something similar with my Glastron Tri-hull. I'll dig around for some pics of the casting deck I made.
