I bought a 1958 7.5 evinrude that had a three blade brass prop. Want to clean this prop up. What is the best way to clean up this old prop and make it shine? Thx

Well, you can try Brasso or other brass cleaner but I always use a cloth wheel chucked in my drill press and compound sticks.

And on the ramp, NOTHING beats the look of a freshly polished bronze prop.

They are various grit polishing compounds of which Jeweler's rouge is one. They can be purchased at Sears. I start with black for extremely heavy tarnish and progress up to rouge and white. You do need to keep recharging the cloth wheel and you need to use a good amount of pressure.
