I have a Michigan Wheel prop that I don't know any of the specifics on. The fourth digit in the part number is not quite ledgible. The fourth digit is either a 5, 6, or 8. Can anyone take the numbers below and relate them to a specific Michigan Wheel prop? Michigan's web site doesn't allow for searching their prop numbers. Thanks in advance.

031548
031648
031848

yes, 25 horse merc. It just doesn't seem to perform like the old prop that I tore up. Won't get up on plane nearly as fast or carry near the load. I have a tiny tach ordered so I can see what my rpm's are doing. I don't really know what prop I need.

Once you get the Tach, you can always have your prop re-pitched for the proper RPM range. Or drop to an 10-3/8 X 11(#031049) if you need more get up and go!

Are you still running that 16" pitch prop. If so, that's the problem!!

The only reason I said it was a 16 is because 16 is written on one of the blades. I pulled the prop off today and got this number off of it. If I take it to the prop shop is there a gauge or something he can put on it to tell what pitch it is without going by the number? It may have been repitched at some point...I don't know. I would definately like to have some more get up and go for sure.

Yes, they can tell you right away what the diameter and pitch is. That would be a good idea so you know what you're working with! I'm betting it's the 13"(Originally).
