Mid 1960s Chrysler 55HP info..?

I am trying to find information on a motor I have. It came on a 1963 16' Elgin boat that I recently aquired.<br /><br />The motor model # is 555HA with a serial number of 5319. Any idea on the age of this motor?<br /><br />What, if any, is the relationship between Chrysler motors and Force motors? I have noticed them paired up quite abit.<br /><br />Thanks.

Hi Eireton,<br />It is around a 68-69 mod. Bayliner bought Chrylser when Chrylser got the Gov loan for their cars and called them Force. Many years later Brunwic Marine groop bought Bayliner.<br />There is no real relationship that anyone admits to.
