I have 3 props that I got with my 1975 Evinrude 25hp and had a couple questions.

1: 2 of the props don't have the size/pitch listed on them. All they say is "Michigan" "PJ" "16" What pitch are they? The third prop is a 9 1/4 x 11. They look the same as the third prop but are they the same?

2: I have an extra shear pin in the boat but would like a few more and can't seem to find any locally. Are there any available online?

3: The 11 inch pitch seems a little high for my application (1979 Broze Brothers fiberglass skiff 14'). With a little extra weight in the boat, it will not get on plane. Would a 9 or 8 inch pitch prop help or not make much difference?

Thanks.

A 9 or 8 will make a change but I don't know if it will help

I have recorded some PJ numbers from time to time but I don't have that one.

A 9 x 11 may work out OK for you depending on your boat. I know the '55 25hp standard prop was a 10 3/8 x 12 1/2 to give you some reference.

Re: Mid 70s 25hp Evinrude prop questions

In digging through the junk in my garage, I came across a 9 1/4 x 9 prop. I mounted it a little while ago and will be using the boat tomorrow morning. I'll bring the other prop in case it performs worse.

I believe the PJ-16 is a 9x10" prop and is the stock all-purpose prop for those motors.
