mid 90's Mercury 3 cyl is leaking gas out of intake

I am having an issue with a mid 90's 3 cylinder 40hp leaking gas. I pulled the intake cover and notice when I prime the bulb gas will ooze out of the intake port. We checked all the carb float valves and they look to be in good condition. We also adjusted the float levels.

We blew into the fuel line on the carb and the moved the floats and they definitley closed up when the level changed.

The motor does not have a choke, but an enricher. Could the enricher be faulty and sending in gas when it's not supposed to.

The motor also leaks gas when the engine is running without priming the bulb - again, it looks like its leaking from the intake. The boat will run decent then after 5-10 minutes it sputters and dies. Also will not run at full throttle - it blubbers at full throttle.

I may try to pinch off the gas supply to the enricher to see if the problem persists - is there any other way to see if the enricher selonid is stuck open allowing gas to pour into the top carb?

If you have gas pouring out your carb while running, it may be an indicator of a bad reed valve.

Saturated floats...sinking??.Physicaly check needle n seats for wear/groove marks.Cant just prod them with finger like mechanics do when late getting to the bar.
