Mid to late 60's wellcraft

My friend gave me a mid to late Wellcraft 60's runabout: sn: 47(2)489, model # 81500v, With a merc 500 thunderbolt, sn: 2167900. want to do a winter project, but dont know what year the boat or engine. Can anyone help. Floats and engine starts but needs work. Thanks/
