Just wondering if any of you have used a Midland VHF Marine radio in your boats. We have a 78-101 model, and it is the fix radio we use in our boat. We bought it brand new, at a very discounted price from an electronics shop (seemed like they had it in the shelves for a long time and were glad to sell it). We have around 1 year with it. At the begining it gave some problems, which the store couldnt fix because the fault was intermitent and they couldnt reproduce the problem in ground. We were about to give up and put it in the trash can, but fortunately I decided to open it (voiding the guarantee) and found some bad solderings in a critical and hard to reach place: very near the LCD screen. Now it works like a charm.<br /><br />Have you ever owned a radio of that brand?
