Might be the dumbest question in the world...

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if its okay to paint the inner hull with epoxy paint (brightside) before I put in the stringers/floor in and fiberglass/epoxy everything together?

The reason why I want to do this is to ensure that any hairline cracks in the inner hull is filled with something instead of (expensive) west system. Since I have plenty of brightside paint might as well use it up. otherwise im gonna just brush on epoxy.

I've heard somewhere that Brightside will work just like epoxy.

It seems like that would create a lot of extra work. You would have to remove any paint were the stringers are bedded and tabbed in. Why not paint after the stringers are installed and before the floor?

I wouldnt trust having everything bonded to the paint. You really want the resin to bite into the hull.
