Might buy a 2000 Monterey 180 Edge Bowrider

Im looking to buy a good family boat for my wife and i and our 3 yr old boy and 12 yr old daughter. Ive purchased boats in the past that were just..... junk. Some of the members here helped me to realize that. I'm looking at this boat for around $7500. Which is an amount i feel like i should be getting a great boat with. Does anyone have an opinion on this boat or experiences with it that could help me? Im heading out tomorrow morning to look at. The pictures look immaculate. Its got a 130hp 3.0 Mercruiser Motor with 177 hours.

Well, i pulled the trigger on the Monterey. I took it out with a salesman from the dealer (Mid Kansas Marine) and found zero issues. The boat ran great and was all around in excellent condition. Finalized the sale and went to hook the boat up to my truck and found that the wiring for my trailer lights was all messed up and needed rewired so they fixed it for me right there in the parking lot! It took about an hour, but I was very impressed with the service. They also gave me some gear lube, fuel stabilizer, skiing flag, 303, and some other freebies. I use 303 all the time already and i love that stuff, a little pricey but works great! I cant wait til the weather shapes up a little better around here so that I can take it out to the lake! Summer cant get here soon enough!

I love my Monterey, got it last July and so far so good. Seems to be a very well built machine.

LOL, ya i need to take some pics first. Every time i take the cover off I end up just sitting in it admiring it! I'll get some pictures up tonight.

Ive been thinking about a name for it, my wife recommended "Wasted Seaman." I thought "Aquaholic" was better! LOL!

Aquaholic is something like the fifth most registered boat name in the U.S.
