I have a 1986 110 hp vro motor. Model #e11omlcdc. I mix my own gas. Installed a new non vro pump 4 years ago. It broke. The plastic body is leaking internally and can not be rebuilt. I don't want to spend $400 for a new one. I looked up mikuni pulse pumps and they have a pump I think might work. Any body ever try a set up with mikuni? How do I know it will pump the right amount?

What's that Mikuni pump rated for?

As a very general rule of thumb divide enigne HP by 10 and that's approximately how many gallons per hour it will burn at full throttle. It's not exact by any stretch of the imagination, but should be kanda' sorta' in the ballpark. For your engine that's around 11 gallons per hour. I'd think you'd want a fuel pump to be able to put out around double that amount, so you'd be looking for a pump that can do at least 20 gallons per hour. Beware though, that's just an opinion and worth every penny you paid for it.

I've heard of putting these Mikuni fuel pumps on smaller mtrs and they worked fine. Before doing it, check out the capacity of it to see if will work on your larger mtr.
