mikuni fuel pumps

I have read tashasdaddy"s arcicle about converting presure tank to fuel pump, and I think its great for old outboards my question is ,will the mikuni DF44 fuel pump, pump enough fuel for 1955 15hp evinrude?and is this a more reliable pump and a easier swap, its suppose to pump about alittle over 3 gallons per hour dont have a clue for stock carb on this motor thanks Brian

The 15hp should use around 1.5 gallons of fuel per hour at wide open throttle (WOT) so you should be fine assuming that too much is not a bad thing.

You'll need two pieces of data. Fuel flow rate, and fuel pressure. Seems like the rate is covered, but I think you'll want to check the pressure. I'm sure someone here can come up with the numbers for you to match spec.
