Mildew & Stains

I purchased a 2002 Super Air Nautique used. Apparently the owner hadn't taken very good care of it, because the cousins were had mildew on them. I figured some amonia and a good scrub down would eliminate most of it but i was wrong. Not only that but the place where i store my boat is only a two sided shelter, which for whatever reason stays wet\damp. Needless to say, just keeping the mildew from spreading is work in and of itself.
Every time i bring it back from a boating trip i hose it down, wipe it dry with towels, scrub it down, vacuum it and then polish it all off with some armor all.
While this has worked nicely for keeping the mildew to a dull roar and even cuts down on it a bit, it's not taken it away.

So i know i traveled a long way around the barn, but my questions is this. Any ideas on how to remove some of the mildew and stains? Clorox maybe? (a water\Clorox solution of course)... I tried that on a small spot and it didn't seem to work that well, but it was more a test to see if it would damage anything.

Lastly: if all else fails purchasing new cushions isn't the worst thing...but it's far from the best. Any ideas at where i should purchase?

Thanks!

Re: Mildew & Stains

Welcome to iboats.

Try a bathroom mildew remover but test it on carpet and fabric first. Bleach if let to sit will also wipe it out.
