Military Version?

2000 Johnson Seahorse 150 hp. Model # J150PLSSC. Motor has run well for the 3 years I have owned it. Have a starting issue now and noticed the "Military" classification when looking at model number.

Are there any differences to be aware of when undertaking DIY repairs? I will get the service manual but don't have it yet.

Any opinions as to being better off/worse off with military version versus the non military.

I did a search on military but didn't find much.

Thanks,

Ron

Re: Military Version?

The model number of the 2000 military should be J150MXSS(D).

Since you found that, click on the subheading of "Literature" and you can order the factory service manual - # 0787070.
