boat idled rough and then stalls. i pulled the plugs and the bottom 2 plugs starboard side had a milky coating on them. water in the cylinder? i did a compression test and got 73 on all cylinders. does that rule out head gasket? how is the water in the cylinders?

The compression test does not completely rule out the cylinder head gasket, but water could come from the exhaust gaskets, from water in the fuel or from a cracked block. It could also come from too much pressure on the water supply when using muffs.

when you say exhaust gasket....you mean the flat cover located in the middle on the back of the motor? from what i have been reading there are actually 2 gaskets in there. whats the likelyhood of that being the problem.

the boat had this problem while in the water not on ears

Yes, and very likely if it is not the head gaskets that are leaking.

Edit: I think that your model uses two 0321182 exhaust gaskets.
