Re: Mini jack plate

duckhunter55 which mini jack plate did you order, the TH Marine, or the Bob's Machine? (there may be other ones out there but I haven't seen them)
I'm thinking about getting the one from Bob's. Please post later and let us know how easy or hard it was to install, and how it performed on your boat.
I hope it works well for you.

Good luck!

Bob's is a pretty respected outfit. I've never heard anyone complain about them, except where they have ordered the wrong item and Bob's would not take it back beacuse it had been mounted and they could not resell it as new. On the plates themselves....We sell the Minni Jacker for that purpose all the time. Installation is a breeze and it works well.

Re: Mini jack plate

Well i have just recieved my TH MArine mini jack plate. By pictures on the internet the construction looked questionable, but after recieving it in the mail i have to say that is pretty heavy duty. Along with the wood insert this baby shouldn't have any prob's holding my 35hp merc. IT took me and my bro about an hour to find center, find right height, drill hole, used 4 3/8'' bolts onto transom, and then bolt motor to plate. I put 5200 sealant behind all of the washers and bolt heads. I took motor out and it works perfect. Motor sits at right height and the jack plate doesn't budge or twist a bit.

Re: Mini jack plate

I've had the TH Mini Jacker for 2 years. I'm running a Mariner 25hp motor on a 1436 Wards Sea King Jon boat. So far it been great.
