I was wondering if a minn kota 40# thrust will be enough for my 17' tri hull bass boat. The motor I am looking at is the minn kota edge 40 and it says reccomended boat lenght 17'. However, the mechanic at the marina I use said he would put atleast a 50# motor on it...
