I have an old Minn Kota magnum 75 24v trolling motor that I haven't used before. I want to give it a go this weekend to see if it works. There are 2 switches under the handle: a 3-position switch that says it is for forward and reverse, and a 2-position switch with no description. A sticker on the motor says can be used with 12v or 24v. There are 4 clamps on 3 wires: black clamp on black wire, red clamp on red wire, red and black clamps on same wire.
What is the other switch for?
What is the proper way to hook up the wires for 24v?
What is the proper way to hook up the wires for 12v?
I solved a couple of my own questions!

Good schematic.
I pulled the cover off my troller and after tracing wires, I came up with the same basic drawing.
Questions remaining:
If I want to use only one battery, which wires do I hook up?
Some 12v/24v motors have a "charge" setting. Does this?
Is that the center position on the Fwd/Rev switch?
(While testing wires, I thought the center position to be an "off" setting. It seemed like no continuity with any other wires, but I could be wrong.)
