I see Cabelas has a 34lb thrust trolling motor on sale for 109.99, is that a good price? I need one for my 14' deep v mirrocraft.

It does not come with battery clips. What size clips should I buy, are the copper plated ones the way to go?

I understand I should have an inline fuse, what size should that be?
Should it be closer to the battery or motor?

The trolling motor will be right next to the battery.
Thanks.

It would appear that it is a good deal, but i didn't know that no cables were included. though it does add a battery power meter into the deal. right now cabelas has $5 shipping, too. Looks like a good offer.

Use a circuit breaker (40 amp) rather than a fuse. The circuit breaker gets installed at the battery as its purpose is to protect the run of wire between the battery and the motor. The motor wires probably have ring terminals on the end. If you want clamps the electrical dept at any home improvement store will have them. You get what you pay for so the choice is yours.

I saw how my neighbor did it.
He used a 60 amp circuit breaker, drill holes in the battery box lid and bolted the cb to the lid from the inside.
