Minn Kota enduro max 50

Just ordered this. Wondering what battery would be good. seems 100ah deep cycle is what I'm looking for?

Max draw for the 45lb thrust is 42 amps, 55lb is more. Might need to think about more then one Bat

The deep cycle is better then start, but you may need to think about LiPo4

What are you doing with it and what size boat ?? Under continuous use a 100 ahm will last about two hrs max. If used ocassionally mabey twice that long. So how much weight in your boat and how much do you use your electric troller. ??

Its an intex seamax4 inflatable. Usually just me in it. I've read that a 100ah battery should do nearly all day? Trolling mostly. Longest I would be using it is maybe 4 hours.

Yeah, I was looking at lithium batteries but they are quite expensive. I've never had a trolling motor before so I have no clue really! Small ponds and not full throttle, just trolling.

Anybody using lithuim batteries to power these? I was looking at cheap LiFePo4 batteries on amazon, they look really good for the price, but you really got to wonder what you are getting compared to the claims.

I know of a few that use Lithium Bats to power the trolling motor, all like them. They recharge on shore power

Very few trolling motors are run 100% full time unless it is woefully undersized for the boat. A 100 Ahr battery will do fine. Consider the battery as a bucket of electricity. The bigger the bucket (Ahr rating) the longer the motor can perform at 100%. I have used Minnkota 50 & 55# pound motors on everything from runabouts to walleye boats to pontoons and rarely needed to hang up fishing because I ran out of power. Now if you are on an electric only body of water you may want to double up.

Received my 100ah Lifepo4 battery and charger this week and the transom attachment as well. Trouting season don't open here until May15, so time will tell. I think it will be fine, esp as the lithium batteries can be run down much lower then lead/acid batteries and only half the weight.
