I have a 52lb thrust motor with a lot of vibration,I checked prop and is ok, removed motor and cleaned the stator/rotor but am having problems putting back in due to deep housing and brushes. Is there a way to keep brushes in place during installation? Thanks.

Without seeing what you are incountering its hard to help much, but Ive encountered a similar thing with a wiper motor! Maybe this will help you, Not sure though! Use pieces of light wire like copper or aluminum and hook the brushes with one end and tape the wire to the housing untill the armature is installed then pull the wire out! The wire has to be soft enough to straighten out when you pull them out and not damage the brushes themselves! Put the slightest bend in the end that holds the brushes that you can and still hold them as those bends need to sraighten out when you pull on the wire!

Hope Ive made myself clear enough and this will work with your application!!

Hasbeen

Been there. I used a strand of fishing line to hold the magnets back while I pushed together the housing. Then pull the line out and you are done.
Dman
