I am replacing the control board on my 2001 Minn Kota Riptide 74B hand control trollling motor. It is a 24V motor and the control board is different that the one I am replacing. The difference is in the numbr of connectors on the board for my wires. The old one has 8 connectors and the new one has 4. From the motor I have 2 red wires and 2 black wires and from the power source I have 2 red wires and 2 black wires. On the old control board there are 8 connectors, one for each wire. On the new board (part# 2184005) there are only 4. Supposedly it is the correct board for my motor, but I'm not 100% on that. My 3questions are, is this new board the correct board for my motor? and since ther are only 4 connectors instead of 8 do I splice wires together to make one lead? and will this board support a 24v? I don't want to burn this board up since I paid $170 for it. Thanks !!!!!!
