My steering motor froze up over the winter. I first removed 3 screws 2 had insulators on them going into the circuit board, 1 thru the bottom into the frame with no insulator. checking things out and decided to go into the steering motor found the problem. So i figure why not test it before I reasemble, when hooking up the battery the right way too! a little resistor on the board started smoking and now with the foot pedal I get no pwr to the steering motor. if I use jumpers I can operate the steering motor and it works fine.<br />my question is with the 2 screws removed from the side with insulators do they do something else besides hold it down? they appear to go into a heat sink or something. a new board is 168.00 motor used on e-bay is 300.00 the motor works fine steering was the issue and that is fixed i'm worried that if i buy a board and it smokes I will be smoking myself! do those 2 screws control something i do not understand causing my board burn up? thanks bob
