Although they may not go into great detail on that above phone number and may only give the "basics" while assisting customers. If need be you might be able to list the wire colors on this thread and give us some ideas of what you have, or post a picture of the wires of both ends. I've dealt with an older mercury trolling motor wiring and an older motorguide wiring, I am no expert on these trolling motors by any means, but with the aid of these guys maybe we can help. I take it that this is a hand control, not a bow mount trolling motor correct? If this is a hand control, I might have a couple of trolling motors out here that I can look at to see if the wires are the same colors.

Hooked up the wires, no smoke. May have something wrong with circuit board. Thiry + years as electronic tech should help with this problem. Wish me luck.
