Minnkota Gensis

I found a Minnkota Gensis, 74 lb thrust, 24 v, auto pilot not working, for $150.

Said that the motor is in good working condition.

Is it still a good deal and what?s your take on the Gensis?

I had one. A 55 12V. It worked fine, but it was very heavy and complicated to use. I hated it very quickly.

Minn Kota stopped making them and offered to accept them back in exchange for a regular PD/AP version. They were that bad.

I would not have another one as a gift.
