Has anyone ever mounted a electric trolling motor to a "swim platform" on the stern of an I/O boat? There are brackets out there, boat I was thinking of bending a piece of SS and attaching it to marine grade wood as the mount. Any other ideas out there?<br />Thanks

I've even seen little outboard motors mounted to full swim platforms. One thing I would be concerned with is wash coming off plane getting things real wet.

Same situation, want to put a transom mount electric trolling motor on swim platform of a jet boat. Probably only use this 4-5 times a year, seems easy enough to bolt an angle iron to swim platform and attach motor bracket to that. Any drawbacks aside from inconvenience of operating (steering/throttle by an extension tube)....thinking I'll generally unbolt the angle iron unless on a fishing trip.
