Mirage or Sportfish or other Crestliner as a 'family' boat?

We're planning to buy a boat for our cottage. Fishing isn't really a priority- but we like the idea of an aluminium boat, having narrowly avoided buying a fibreglass boat with some hidden damage.

We'd be puttering around a 4mile long lake, eventually skiing, tubing.

What are people's thoughts- particular model? Good plan or should we consider something else? Thanks!

My daughters family has a 1750 Sportfish/Mirage with a 115 Johnson 2-stroke and its a great family boat. They fish as well as do family stuff such as tubing and skiing.

I would get a 14 foot runabout.deep V with a 35 hp engine. It can seat 4 but isnt big.

You're not going to be able to water ski and tube with a 14 ft and 35 hp outboard. A 14 ft is very very cramped for 4 people and not a comfortable ride either.
