Misatkes Were Made...Crossed Battery terminals..Now what?

After a month of rebuilding my new used 1985 Merc 75 hp I was getting ready to take her out. Of course I had to strap down the battery. That required rotating it from the position I was using it in.

And I crossed them and immediately changed them back. I saved my electronics with inline fuses I installed but the rectifier is toast.

I replaced that last night with the Radio Shack equivalent and still no spark.

I'm going to dig into it again in a minute checking Stator, Switch box, Trigger and Coils.

Which is the most likely to go bad? Any one have an SOP for this?

Im off to Fry's to build a DVA. I hope I can squeeze a little more help out of you guys as it was you that helped me rebuild in the first place.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!

Just tape off the rectifier wires for now, rectifier disconnected. Get on the CDIelectronics.com website and look up a troubleshooting test for your ADI ignition. After you diagnose/fix the ign, reconnect the rectifier. That rectifier should have 4 terminals. The one for -DC must be grounded to the frame of the motor. The other three get the yellow (AC) and Red (+12VDC) wires.

Done that.

DVM readings show open on Blue-Blue/White. All others including Trigger OK. Wouldn't I still have spark on half the cylinders?

Not sure if DVA is necessary with the open circuit as described. Correct?

New plan, install new stator.

Anything else I should check prior? Minus wiring integrity.

Let me clarify.

Motor cranks but no spark on any cylinder.

Switch wire and rectifier disconnected.

Is DVA necessary if DVM shows open circuit on Blue-Blue/White stator wires?

What does the CDI Electronics troubleshooting procedure say to do? There should be ohm values for all stator circuits. Is your meter sensitive enough to detect ohms of resstance? I had a cheapo that could not tell the difference between open and 400ohms. When I found that out, I tossed it.
