I have a 99 Merc Mariner Force 120 hp 2 stroke. The previous owner had eliminated a fuse for some reason and never replaced it. I have the seloc manual but do not see this fuse in it. Anyone know what fuse is for and how many amps?

Click this link, look at the photo:

Should be a 20 amp fuse that plugs in, then it goes into the fuse holder.

Why would he do this?

Lucky it didn't blow up.

You are going to have to go to the hardware store and get an inline fuse holder and wire it into that red wire.

The part with the word FUSE on it, is just a holder to keep it from falling out of the plug.

Thanks rosco, I had already come across that pic but didn't locate the fuse on it either. Found it this time :)
