When replacing my fuel line on my 75 horse Mariner, I noticed that there was no o ring on the connector to the motor. Would this explain why my motor is running too rich. It is oil injected so my theory is that it isnt pulling enough gas to mix the oil correctly. Is this correct?

The o ring is in the hose coupler side. You might go back to the first thread and read it, just because the answers you get are not what you want to here don't necessarily make them wrong.

Re: Missing O-Ring on fuel line connector

Im sorry if I misstated but the coupler that goes on the fuel line to the motor is missing the o ring. I am wondering if that would cause the surging and lack of power.
