If you mean the little triangular fin above and behind the prop, that's the trim tab...you adjust it right or left, make a reference mark first, to get your boat to steer equally easy left or right and to run straight in the water. For example, if steering wheel turns easier right than left, adjust (turn fin to right)...and vice versa. Little adjustments go a long way, though.<br />If you mean the fin under the prop that keeps the blades off the concrete, that's the skeg.<br />Both are must-haves. You can get a trim tab from a dealer or maybe on ebay. If skeg is gone, you'll have to get one welded on.
