An engine needs air, fuel, compression and spark and it all has to happen at the proper time. Miss any one or more of those and you can have an engine miss. Do the simple stuff first. Check/replace plugs. Fresh gas. Check spark. Check compression. Check fuel delivery. Push key in when its missing. If it helps, its time to remove the carbs, disassemble them, clean all passages thoroughly, blow them out with compressed air and reassemble them with new kits.
