Hi I have a Johnson CD14 5.5 HP (1957) and when I see pics of other CD14s I see they have three blade props mine has two blades. Has someone changed the prop or is this one of the ways this model was made? confused

Ayuh,... I've got a couple of 'em, a 54, 'n a 57,... Both are 2 bladed props...

I doubt a 3 blade would be an improvement...
Just a replacement,... 2 blade props are pretty much obsolete...

A 3 blade might do better with a load.It appears the 3 blade prop appeared on the 5 hp in 65 8" X 7 1/4 with a 2 blade on the 6, 8" X 7 1/2.Different gear ratios.
