mist coming out of engine force 125 1986

[dissatisfaction]

when my force 120 is running only a bit of mist and some dropS come out of my engine is this normal or should i be worried?<br /><br /> Also i would like to replace the impeller anyway, Where is it on this motor?<br /> <br /> Also. when i put in in gear it grinds a little bit i was told this was normal, Just worries me that it grinds. can i adjust that?<br /><br /> THANKS FOR ANY HELP..

Maybe its idling too high is why it grinds? the water pump is in the lower end get a repair manual from this site and will tell you step by step.

Water should spray out of the exhaust at idle when your engine is in the water. It is hard to say for sure how much you have, but whe I replaced mine, lots more came out. It is very easy to replace the impeller and is HIGHLY recommended. Also, I would suggest a Clymer manual instead of the Seloc ones. Clymer tends to be better. <br /><br />You should here a "clunk" sound when putting your engine in gear. A small amount of ratcheting sounds could be from engaging too slowly, or your gear linkage could be slightly out of adjustment. If it stays in gear and works fine, then you most likely don't have anything to worry about.<br /><br />Good luck!

It should be like a spray-mist coming out the upper holes. You should do a waterpump kit at least every other year. when shifting ..do it quick and firm....dont let it grind.
