Does anyone have any recommendations on a mist system for a pontoon boat?

I need a complete system.

Thanks in advance :)

I have a great big cooling system. The water is stored just under the pontoons, and most of the time a ladder takes us down into the cooling system. The rest of the time, we just jump.

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to make. You would either need to pressurize the water and send it through a nozzle, or pump it into the back side of a fan (both would be ideal). While it it would be easier to me to just jump in, I could see it being better for people that don't/don't want to swim.

Thinking a little more, I think the ideal way to do it would be to have a flexible tube run around the perimeter of a bimini top, with multiple nozzles around. As long as the mist is fine enough and the day is hot enough, I don't think you would have any problems with too much water in the boat.

The biggest problem with mist systems is the price, if you buy cheap, expect to buy one every season - my friend has four small 12 volt fans mounted in each corner of his party boat, with the humidity coming off the water and the moving air it always seems to be 15 degrees cooler then in the sun

Yes I agree the water is the fastest way to cool down but like said there are some people that can't get in the water. I can't throw Grandma in the lake :) My wife is 6 months pregnant too. Just need to do something to help those out when its cooking at 97 degrees and the wind stops :)

I found one that was completely self contained and had a cool installation video on the site but after an hour searching I can't find it again. It was 349 for the complete system.

Here is another one I found that looks pretty good: http://www.boatmisters.com/

I like the self contained units where you add fresh water. I have water at the boat slip so its easy to add fresh water before leaving. I don't like blowing dirty lake water through the mister even with a filter.
