Mitchell Boat

Hey everybody, i am about to purchase an 18 foot mitchell boat. Its a 1982 model. I have a 115 hp on a trihull that im pulling the engine off of and selling the boat. I was wondering if the 115 has enough umph to push the 18 foot boat. If not what is the max hp that it will hold? I will be in the potomac and chesapeak area. So im not sure how the weather is up there. And if a storm was to blow in i wouldnt want to be in it.
Also i have a 15 foot chaparral tri-hull and trailer for sale. $400 obo.
