Hey.

Im rebuilding my 470 which needed one piston. The others do not have the notch in them.

I've been in touch with falcon global who sold me the piston and they advised that all pistons now have the notch and that the notched can be used in combination with un notched.

Is this true and ok to use 1 notched with 3 unnotched ?

TIA.

If your referring to the notch to designate the forward position of the motor then a piston with no notch or indent for the valves can go either direction. You do have to remember to face the connecting rod`s squirt hole toward the camshaft though.

Thank you for the reply.

the 3 existing pistons have valve indents but no notch, the new piston also has valve indents and a notch - I just want to confirm that the new pistion with notch can be used with the ones the dont have a notch ?

Thanks

That question was answered. Just make sure you face the squirt hole towards the camshaft.
