Mixing Power Port and Standard Pistons

I am repairing my power head. Had to bore cylinder #1 .015 over. My replacment piston on my 1150 has the big hole in it perpendicular to the wrist pin. I presume this is a power port piston. Can/should it be mixed with 5 standard, non power ported pistons (pistons with no holes in them)?

It should work fine. Since your block is not bored to take advantage of the power piston, it will not function at all.
