The way these Bow Mounted trolling motors are at a right angle you must push Heel down to adjust left to get centered/Go Straight. So now you have a percentage of your left movement already taken up, so your Foot Control is down in the back. I would like to adjust my Foot Control to level so I have equal left/right control. I found this write-up below for a MK Maxxum, is it this easy or am I going to screw things up. :
I opened the cover of the top of the motor and
loosened the control cables. I spun the motor until the pedal was at
maximum travel in one direction. Then I slid the cam / cable barrel off the
gear on top of the motor shaft. A quick spin of the motor to point it
forward (drive in reverse) and I slipped the cable drum back onto the gear.
After tightening the control cables back up I checked my travel and
alignement. Dead reverse at max travel in either direction and dead ahead
at center of travel. It took less than fifteen minutes to re-align the
motor with the control after reversing the side that the cables came off of.
That included putting the cover screws back in.
