I have the mk pd40 on the old boat, and well I burned up the old pedal, smoked the left/right controls on the computer chip in the pedal, so I ordered a new pedal and did the multimeter test on it, and it checks out ok.
But when I plug her in, it will not turn right/left, but the actual prop motor spins and the variable speed works fine, momentary and constant are good too.
I took the high speed drive motor out and plugged her directly to 12v power, it works...but hook it back up to the leads and no go...it has me stumped..
Is there a way to check the control board? And what is that thingy that joins the high speed motor leads together??
And it's purpose ?
Can it go bad?
Just curious what to do next...any help is greatly appreciated.
