hi,
i have a 1974 16 foot baja speed boiat with a 1999 johnson 115 outboard. i am wondering if i can use mobster tabs on my boat. it says that they are for bass boats 17-22 feet, my hull is shaped similar to a bass boat hull (shallow and pretty wide) and i like that they will give me more top speed and supposedly a smoother ride. also, at middle speeds i have to trim in pretty far to keep the bow down. the faster hole shot would be nice too. if i can use them, will they really help me with the things that i mentioned. if it means anything i have an 18 pitch prop.
thanks

Re: mobster tabs

Use the MT1080-60 Mobster Tabs, or the ST1290-60 Smart Tabs. The Mobster Tabs are smaller in surface area and tapperd in shape. The Plates are also heavier. They are 10" wide at the transom side where the Smart Tabs are 11.5" wide at the transom. Unless your boat runs over 60MPH I would use the ST1290-60 (assuming the wider plate does not cause mounting problems.)

You will get the results mentioned!
