I have just got 1988 Glastron GX 239 searched for specs and other information on this boat, no luck yet, I also checked the classic Glastron web site recommended by others, nothing there but a good history story. Any help locating any data on this would be great, HIN CNO09118L788. Its OK to be honest If I just bought a lemon.

Re: Model GX 239

I have taken this boat out a number of times since I bought it, I really like it seems to go fast enough, although I will be looking for help this winter when I fix the dry rot in the transom. What does the GX mean in the model number?

Re: Model GX 239

Hi,

I own the same boat. I have put a 454 Mag 2002 in it. It's a great boat, handles rough water better than most 24 footer out there I found.

The GX 239 was a special edition of the Futura model they built in 1988, so for most parts you will find them compatible with the Futura 1988-1990. They only made a few of them. mine was a special order from the dealership himself in 1988. A friend bought it from him in 1990, and I bought it from my friend 2 years ago.

The GX 239, was made as a sportier version, more robust, with things like booster seat, direct exhaust with silent choice, motor shock, etc etc etc...

If the engine is good on your boat, you'll enjoy it.

Re: Model GX 239

my numeric pad is coonected to the whole electrical system (like ignition on a key). I enter a 4 digit code, then the electrical system turns on, if I press start the engine cranks, press stop the engine quits. It acts just like a key. my boat is keyless.
