Model ID#?

I'm dead in the water here. I have no idea what the year or model # is for my johnson seahorse. And I'm only assuming that it is a 5 hp since that's what I was told. How do I find all this good to know stuff? Thanks, Pat

PJ<br />Try looking on the transom bracket or on the powerhead for numbers that would help identify your motor. Look for a welsh plug about the size of a quarter on the powerhead, that should have some numbers. Post anything you can find. A picture would help if you don't find anything.

ok- I have the #j2402017 on the plug & if it's any help I have the #377945 on the inside of the motor block. I appreciate the help. Pat

Hi PJ!<br /><br />Did you find a model number like LD-11 or LD-12?<br />This is a LD-11: 5 hp 1966 model

well after carefully checking all the parts I have strewn everywhere. I discovered the model no. which is cd-21a

PJ, Your engine is a 1964 model 5.5 hp Johnson.
